HISTORY

Responding to the growing need for third party Affirmative Action program management for construction projects in the greater Chicagoland area,  Pentad, Inc. was established in 1995.  Applying experience in public and private sector projects, the firm assists clients and on-site monitoring and reporting, community outreach, public forum coordination, training program design and implementation and mediation and conflict resolution.  The firm's consultation has resulted in numerous successful minority participation programs, establishing benchmarks for future programs.

The firm's founder and president, Stephanie Stephens, began developing Affirmative Action initiatives as a vice president with Stein & Company.  In that capacity, she helped forge the Female Employment Initiative (FEI) in addition to the creation of an aggressive Affirmative Action Program implemented for the McCormick Place South Expansion.  Her role as Director of Affirmative Action on the South Expansion led to a consulting role to complete the project, and eventually, the formation of Pentad, Inc.  The precedent setting Affirmative Action program established for that project is currently the benchmark for the McCormick Place West Expansion.  Pentad is also a proud member of  Mc4West, LLC, the team awarded the West Expansion project.
